The Facts about National Adoption Month:
National Adoption Month began as a week-long celebration in Massachusetts in 1976. Since then, it has evolved into a month-long event! Each year, the President of the United States makes a proclamation to announce that November is National Adoption Month. This year, National Adoption DAY is celebrated on November 18, 2023. Thousands of adoptions are finalized in court rooms all across the United States on this special occasion.

Every year this celebration grows larger as more and more states and courtrooms become involved. Whether you’re an adoptee, birth parent, adoptive parent, advocate, or you just simply support adoption, this November join us in celebrating National Adoption Month!
